Martin Vinje is a keyboard-player, producer and arranger currently residing in Oslo.
He holds a BA in jazz-piano from the Grieg Academy in Bergen. After finishing the degree he started on a MA in early-music with harpsichord as his main-instrument only to have to break it off when he got asked to play in the band of the Norwegian pop-artist Sigrid.
He worked for her, touring the world as the musical director from 2016 to 2019.
During that period he acquired extensive practical knowledge about how to live-produce, program and arrange a big show. Martin has played at pretty much every main-stream festival in Europe, including Glastonbury, Roskilde and Øya in Norway as well as done many high-profiled TV-performances such as The tonight show starring Jimmy Fallon, The Graham Norton Show and Skavlan. After 4 years in Sigrids service he got fed up with the constant touring and decided to resign and shift focus back to more creative work.
"As strange as it may sound heavy touring with that kind of artist gets mundane quicker than one would expect. At that point you have to be honest with yourself and decide if this is what you really want to spend you're life doing."
